Lily + Tony

Meet these two lovely souls. They met 8 years ago. The love started thanks to the friendship that Lily's cousin had with Tony. When I asked Tony, "so what was it about Lily?" All he could do is stare into her eyes and said, "look at her...she's beautiful, was a good person with good values. I knew I wanted her to be my wife!" I've known Lily for some time. She and my sister were very good friends in high school. She's still as lovely as I remember her. Now Tony......I've only met once, but you can tell he is a great, gentle, and a sweet man! Needless to say, Lily and Tony absolutely complement each other.

Aren't these two so cute?

I really like this picture down below....it has a lot of passion behind it!

If Los Angeles were a beautiful smog free location, we would be able to see downtown from the following two pictures, but we worked with what mother nature brought us!

A kiss is so passionate.....this exact same location was where Tony asked Lily for her hand in marriage! He left his girlfriend at the Griffith Observatory and took home a fiance.

This bottom picture is one of my faves....I love the passion, love, greenery, nature, sun glare, bokeh and everything about it!

Tony is one lucky man! He was right....Lily is definitely beautiful!

Benavides :: Love

Meet my oldest sister and brother-in-law. They are two amazing people that have been through so much much and above all still manage to have unconditional love, respect, honesty, and values. Pina, as she likes to be called, is the reason why my mother became a mom! She was the first born. She has four amazing children and four grandchildren, two additional ones on the way. Every time we talk, it's not for five minutes, but sometimes for an hour. We reminisce about our mom, talk about our lives, and give each other advice. Pina can technically be my mom, since we're 21 years apart. She's was the first born and I was second to the last! Another reason why I love to see and speak to her is because she is the one that resembles my mother the most. Her personality, the way she dresses (very sophisticated), her petiteness, and even the way she scolds (I'm sure the girls would agree with me) resembles my mom. :)

Now my brother-in-law is the sweetest ever! My nieces and nephew are very lucky to have him. Not to say, he's such an adorable and loving grandfather. Well 'nough said. I'm getting emotional. I just admire these two for the love they have. I only hope and dream that God continues to bless me with the love that is present in the Benavides Family. I wanted my nieces and nephew to have these priceless memories because as we all know, life is not eternal, but we can continue to reminisce and laugh when we look at memories such as these. BTW, both hate taking pictures, but I told them they had no choice. I wanted to surprise the kids with these memories and BOY did I surprise them! There were even some tears of joy. Julian Oliver | Smash the Cake Sneak Peek

Meet little Julian. He is a whole one year young and so full of beauty and life! His parents wanted to capture his sweet innocence and what better way than to "smash the cake" all by himself. At first, Julian was excited and soon after had a shocking reaction as if parents were saying, "what are you doing?" I've had the opportunity to capture several of these sessions and every time I experience a new one, I can't stop laughing out of excitement and cuteness! Badillo Family | Sneak Peek

Today I photographed the Badillo Family. They were a referral from the lovely Tapia-Gradilla family. Well, our session was suppose to be an hour, but due to the way we hit it off and had so much in common, we were together for 2.5 hours. What a blessing! We shared so many things in common and I couldn't be anymore thankful for having the trust and opportunity in documenting this important milestone in the Badillo's life. Congratulations Badillo family! Little Emilio is absolutely adorable and I couldn't be any happier to have met you. New Orleans, Louisiana | Photography Giveaway

Hello World! It's been a while since my last posting, but it's never too late to hope that all the beautiful mommies enjoyed their special day! Mine was busy, but relaxing at the same time. Spent some time with my in-laws, my three favorite people (daughter, hubby & sis), visited my mom at the cemetery, and pampered myself with a pedi/mani. Loved it!

So I'm exploring New Orleans with a dear friend of mine. It's beyond GORGEOUS!!! Just my kind of place. Vintage, historic, loud, and gorgeous luscious architecture. And OMG, the homes are beyond stunning! If we were to have landmarks and luscious architecture as here, I'd be in heaven during every single portrait session! Tons of colored doors, french doors, iron doors, brick, vintage wooden doors and never ending trees!

My friend Rosie and I arrived this morning. We took a 4 hour well deserved nap and explored the French Quarter area. Our hotel is right on Bourbon street so you can image all the colored beads, music, alcohol, etc. We are way passed that era, but enjoyed being spectators. We tried a po'boy gravy roast beef sandwich, the best bloody mary's I've ever had, walked to the famous Cafe Du Monde and finally got a chance to taste the famous beignets. I was in heaven during those 5 mins. Yes, I inhaled them (don't judge; lol)! I apologize for the lousy iphone pics, but believe it or not, that's the only camera that I had during this evening. Later, we went to this restaurant (forgot the name) and had some amazing sampler of the Gumbo, Red Beans and Rice, and Jambalaya! My friend ordered the best prime rib! Gosh, nothing but consuming calories and fat! :( I totally blew my WW points, but I enjoyed every single bit of it.

Even though I'm having fun, I miss the loves of my life. Mia was so upset that she couldn't come with me, but after I told her I'd buy her a banana (as she wanted) she was a bit more at ease. I have the best hubby ever. We every so often give each other a break. Why? Well because we really do believe that "absence makes the heart grow fonder!" :)

Baby Lopez :: Newborn Photography Session :: Before & After

As many of you are aware, photography is not my full-time job. Well today, I stayed home sick after having the worse migraine. I slept until about noon and have since been wondering what I should do. Since I'm a workaholic and don't seem to take advantage of my alone time (grrr), I decided to post a little bit of what truly goes on before and after a newborn photography session.

It's very difficult and time consuming to photograph any session, but a newborn photography session is very unique. Not only do I have to be patient, I must haul all of my props, ensure that the particular home has yummy natural lighting, and constantly remind mommy & daddy that they must remain patient with me even though baby may not want to cooperate. ;) I have some easy newborn photo sessions and some challenging ones. Besides my travel time, a newborn session may last anywhere from 1-3 hours and another 1-2 hours editing and posting on to a private gallery. Now let's not forget the additional time I need to order pictures, create an announcement, and package and deliver the actual photographs. There have been some rare occasions that if baby is not cooperating, I will come back and attempt to create fabulous memories for a second time (by the way, I definitely do not mind).

Due to the demand and time involved, I am now happy to announce that I am offering newborn photography sessions in my home. The package has changed for the best!

Here is a photograph of baby Lopez. Every single photograph that I edit is a personal favorite in many ways. This particular picture I absolutely LOVE! It's classic, chic, vintage, sophisticated, simple, elegant, and absolutely breath taking. As you can observe, the top picture is the RAW image. It has not been touched with any type of editing program. The bottom photograph has been completely edited. I have softened the skin (lightly), removed the shedding of the skin, cloned the blanket that didn't cover the complete image, added a vintage finish to the photograph, added a soft vignette, and sharpened the image! I can go on and on with technical terms, but have decided to write in words you will understand. Every single photograph I forward to you will be edited to my taste. It's time consuming, but the final image is an absolute beauty!

Lopez family, I'd like to congratulate you on your sweet bundle of joy. Thank you for being so patient with me and I truly appreciate your trust. This is by far the best gift auntie Lisset could have given you. Wishing you nothing but continued bliss and blessings!

"Smash the Cake" Photography Session

Today was a marathon "Smash the Cake" photography session day! These little boys are all special to me. Their mommies have touched my heart one way or another. I was privileged enough to photograph the boys for their newborn photography session. They are only days apart from each other and I just can't believe a year has come and gone.

Since in my opinion, a child's first year of life is unforgettable, I decided to create a new package named "Smash the Cake". What happens here is priceless. I supply the props, balloons, and document memories and mommy & daddy bring the cake! The time spent is priceless!

Did someone say Tea? :: Karla's Tea Party

Here is Karla. She is just the cutest ever! I have photographed her family numerous times and I am proud to call her a friend! I'm jealous that I didn't get to meet her before, but blessed that our friend Yamoe was able to introduce us. Ironically, I was present during her wedding celebration because Yamoe didn't want her husband sitting alone (he didn't know anyone). ;) Well who would have known we would hit it off!

Here are some photographs of Karla's Tea Party which took place at the Tea Rose Garden in the city of Pasadena, CA. WOW! Was I impressed! I am personally very detailed with any type of craft or job I produce. Well Karla does just this. She hand crafted every single invitation, party favor, and detail to her celebration. My Princess

I know it's been a while since I've shared some pictures of my pumpkin, so I thought I'd do it now. Here is my princess, Mia Montes. She is 3 1/2 years old. I can't believe how much she's grown and how incredibly wide her speech has gotten. She is a mini me! Looks, eyes, and even her loud set of lungs! She is a true character! I love her so much and always wonder how I lived my life w/o her in it for so long! She understands my photography passion. She always wants to mimic me taking pictures and every time I step out our home to go to a photography session, she says, "Oh Mami, be careful"! ♥ ♥ ♥ her!

After having rain for the last two days, today's weather couldn't of been more perfect for an engagement session. Today I was fortunate enough to photograph this beautiful couple that I am proud to call them my Friends. We had soooo much fun giggling and laughing; to top it off, Eduardo was such a trooper after getting stung by a bee! YES!!!...a Bee! But at least he will have a story to tell his future children. ;)

Julie and I go way back and I am so glad to be part of this special milestone in her life. I've never seen her so in love and happy. Eduardo is such a down to earth and laid back person. He is just what Julie deserves and quite frankly, he is a lucky man to have her love.

Sabrina's 2nd Birthday Celebration - Sneak Peek

Today I photographed adorable Sabrina! She was blessed to have turned 2 years of age today! She was so cute and her outfit was out of this world, pink pettiskirt with a matching pink cupcake tank top. Since her theme was Mickey's Clubhouse, she sported out some adorable Minnie Mouse ears. But the fun didn't stop there....Sabrina's parents were so creative and had ears for all their guests, including the adults.

As most of us know, it's difficult to keep up with a 2 year old. Especially when they are in the place of their lives, a playground. Sabrina's birthday was celebrated at the Peekaboo indoors playground. Oh did she have fun!

Today I photographed lil' Annalise! YAY! Finally a girl! The Montoya's will be busy for the rest of their lives......They have a beautiful family that has grown significantly over the last 3 yrs., what a blessing! :D

Baby Ramirez - Sneak Peek

Last week I traveled to Mexicali, Mexico to take newborn pictures of my adorable niece, Cinthya Patricia Ramirez Robles. Baby Ramirez was born on August 13th. She was one perfect little girl and OMG is she precious! She had the perfect nose and perfect dainty features. I had high standards while photographing this princess because her daddy is a professional photographer! :D He was so excited when I told him I would travel to meet his family! I was greeted with nothing but smiles and respect! I can't wait to see this precious soul grow and blossom to a beautiful young lady. I know she will be as beautiful as her mother and father.

On August 7th, Evelyn and Paul united and became one! I was privileged enough to have witnessed this blessing and create unforgettable memories. Earlier in the year, I was privileged enough to be accepted to be part of an organization named "Inspiration Through Art" (formerly known as The Littlest Heroes Project). This organization is dedicated to empowering young people to give back, and make a difference through the beauty of art. We are artists with a passion for giving and inspiring others. Through our own artistic talents we are able to come together as one, to let children around the world know that they are loved, despite the challenges they face everyday.

Today I photographed the Betancourt Family. Over the last year, they have gone through so many challenges with little Max. Today Max is a normal and healthy one year old boy. He is truly a blessing from God. Mommy & Daddy are so proud of him and I know that little Max will be a true inspiration to anyone he comes across with.

I tell ya! I'm so blessed to be surrounded by beautiful souls. Here's another prince charming! He was such a blessing to his mommy & daddy! It's the first grandchild from daddy's side of the family & second grandchild from the mommy's side. There is no doubt he will be spoiled rotten!

I had the privilege of photographing mommy & daddy for a maternity session about 2 weeks ago. Mommy was such a trooper b/c no one expected an 8 lb. baby. But as every mother says..."it was all well worth it!" Baby Saucedo was born a week ago. He is truly a charm. I wish I could clone him! heehee

Today was an extremely busy day and I loved every single minute of it. I met an amazing family that I truly admire. Why? Well they're a family of five and I have such respect for big families. Today I had the privilege of documenting baby Dao's first photography session! This tiny soul is shy away from 6 weeks of life. She did such a great job! This past Saturday I photographed little S's Baptism. The day couldn't of been more beautiful! I loved the church, sermon, people, and of course, little S's family. She was such a doll! 2009 Boston Marathon Finale

Today I'm not blogging about my photography. I'm recognizing an amazing experience that I encountered exactly a year ago. For those of you that know me, I fundraised 3K for the American Liver Foundation and traveled to Boston to run the Boston Marathon with my family last year April 20th 2009. All this in honor of my mother who I lost in 2008. I get so emotional when I think of this date and I wanted to share the e-mail I sent to those who helped me make this possible. Thank you again for making this an unforgettable experience that no one will ever take away from me. Because of you, we were able to help others! (a long read, but worth it)...

"Good morning!--Well I am finally back to normal life. Our trip to Boston was such an amazing and emotional experience! First of all, Boston is sooooooo beautiful and clean. Everyone is so friendly and so eco conscious.

Next to experiencing motherhood, this accomplishment has been by far the best experience of my life!!!!! Before my big day, I was nervous, but not as much as I thought I’d be. I had to wake up at 4:00 a.m. in order to be on time for a ride to Hopkinton, where the marathon officially began. The morning was so cold and windy! I could feel the cold through my bones, but I was not complaining, as I am not a fan of the hot weather. I was just so happy it was not raining. I knew the day was going to be long and difficult, but I was determined to finish no matter the time. The crowd was so friendly and full of energy. Everyone was shouting out names and rooting with positive thoughts and energy. I was so happy! I knew my mother was happy too…. I prayed for strong mental energy and zero accidents.

I was feeling great! My foot was always one in front of the other. It was about mile 13 when my left knee began to give me some issues. I had to stop-run, stop-run, more frequent than before. This slowed me down significantly as I would see others pass me by. No matter what, I saw those by standers cheering me on! My family met me at about mile 17. It was so nice and reassuring to see faces that I knew and loved so much.

I knew I was approaching mile 19 b/c of the so called “heartbreak hill”. For those of you that do not know about this “heartbreak hill”, it’s basically nothing buy uphill for about 4-5 miles. This KILLED me!!! But I NEVER stopped! I would have tiny dreams within my head of having an electric scooter…by this time my knee pain was more severe, but I would continue to walk-jog, walk-jog.

The last two miles were the longest ones of my life!!!! I knew I was getting closer to the finish line b/c every bystander would remind me of this! When I hit the last mile, my mind went on a “rewind” mode. Rewind I say b/c I thought about my mothers last 10 months of life while at the hospital. Her pain, suffering, and devastating look. I became so emotional and sobbed like a child. I was in so much pain, but I can assure you it was probably not even 1/10th of what my mother went through. Every pain I felt was worth it! The last ¼ of a mile was never-ending. A wonderful young gentleman asked if he could run to the finish line with me; I nodded yes and began to sob! Not b/c of pain, but b/c of my accomplishment. I made the promise to my mother that I would finish for her and I did! He gave me the biggest hug after my finish…then I hugged my husband who was in tears…Jay, Monica, and my baby came afterwards! I was full of happiness…the weirdest thing ever was that I vividly remember feeling the first rain drop as I crossed the finish line. It was as if My Mother was waiting to shed tears after my accomplishment!

I was extremely tired when I was done…. I had the most wonderful shower, took some Ibuprofen and slept like a baby!!!! I was sore the following day, but this didn’t stop me from taking a tour around Boston and celebrating my accomplishment with my family over a nice dinner and well-deserved beer.

When we arrived home Friday afternoon, my friends had posted a huge poster with a "congratulations" greeting! I was very humbled. I am very blessed to have friends/family that love me and care about what I do. They pampered me with spa goodies and feet care products. My friend Michelle even had delicious T.V. dinners in the freezer for me.... I love her so much! My family got together Friday evening and we had dinner. My nieces and nephews had wrote words of encouragement and drew me running a marathon on poster paper. My family wrote encouraging thoughts on a poster board where my mothers picture was the center of it. One of my brothers wrote a Congratulations message and thanked me for keeping my mothers spirit alive. He mentioned he told his neighbors all day about what I was running for and even mentioned he's proud of having a sister like me. I just can’t fathom on how I am truly blessed for having such amazing family and friends!

Enough of my novel.... in short words, I want to say Thank you! Thank you! Thank You! Your money has been put into GREAT use. Without your prayers and well wishes, this would not have been possible! I know my mother is proud of me------Now, It’s time for another mission—what it is, I do not know yet! Until next time!"

Today I photographed my niece Vanessa and daughter Mia. It was difficult due to the fact that they both want to do the same thing and at the same time. Secondly, my daughter Mia is a jealous little girl. So when I give Vanessa kisses or get close to her, Mia wants to get close to me and lifts her arms so I can hold her. But goodness, how they love each other! The girls are only one year apart and they both ask for each other as sisters do. I can't even imagine how much closer they will get as they become older.

Are you all ready for the Holiday Season? The malls are hectic, no parking, no great deals, but I know we all must get that perfect gift for our loved ones. Today I'm blogging about those families that are experiencing a blue Christmas this year. I'm personally not rich, but blessed with a healthy family, a roof over my head, and food for survival. Several co-workers and I were able to pitch in to adopt a family who is less fortunate than many of us. It felt GREAT to shop for others that are truly in need.

Today I would like to extend that giving spirit by offering a free photo session to a family in need. It can be someone that can't even afford to go to a simple photo session at the mall or someone who is ill or has a terminally ill condition. It doesn't matter what type of grief they may be going through, but I need families that truly need the gift of custom portraiture! To enter, the family or individual must live in the Los Angeles County. Please e-mail me a brief paragraph of why this family should deserve this blessing along with their contact information. I will be mailing them a gift certificate good for a photo session valued at $150.00! You can e-mail the entries to miamorphotography@yahoo.com. E-mails must be submitted by 1:00 p.m. Saturday 12/19/09. Some of my close friends and I will choose the family we believe should deserve this gift! Thanks in advance for your entries.

Wentz Family | Sneak Peek

Today I photographed the Wentz Family. First of all, Mrs. Wentz is my co-worker. She is absolutely the cutest, well put together, fashionable Miss Diva! I say this will all of Izzy's deserved respect! The Wentz family has enjoyed two beautiful years of marriage. Do I smell babies?! J/K. They were very easy to photograph. They knew exactly what they wanted and were well prepped. I came home super excited to tell my hubby of the beautiful location they have as their front yard, the ocean! How I envy the Wentz family, but they are both young successful individuals that have worked hard to get where they are. Wentz family, thanks so much for allowing me into your home. I hope you like these moments I was able to capture! p.s. I'm surprised I didn't take Boomer! He's super cute and well behaved. :)

First of all I'd like to apologize for the way my blog looks. Apparently the hosting site I used crashed and now I need to use an alternative provider. Thanks to Rita from the CoffeeShop, she has given me full instructions on how to fix the issue. Now who is Rita you may ask? If you're into photoshop or photography, you'll love her site. Rita is the blogger behind Coffeeshop. She blogs all about photography and photo-editing, especially Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, and LightRoom. My nephew George a.k.a. Georgie!

This is Georgie, my 14 year old nephew. Besides being a little flirt and being a magnet for those high school girls, he is a talented musician. Talented I say because Georgie has only taken a couple of music classes, but has learned most of the music he plays by sound. Honestly, I didn't know how good he was until this summer. He truly impressed me! I hope he continues this hobby as I'm a big fan of sounds and instruments. In case you didn't know, I played an accordion for 3 years and a trumpet for 4 years. :) Pretty nerdy huh?!

My Niece & The Famous Red Dress

This is my niece! She is my oldest brothers youngest daughter. She's great at photographing and loves to pose. I know, I know, her dress is short, but there's a beautiful story to it. You see, the dress my niece is wearing was a gift from my mother (maybe about 3 yrs. ago). My sister-in-law tried it on her and it miraculously fit, but short of course. From what I hear, this dress will be passed on to my daughter. This means a lot to me as my mother was only alive for a very short time after I had Mia. I can't wait for Mia to fit into this dress! I'm going to take tons of pictures!

The weekend of Thanksgiving, my co-worker Elaine, Riva, and I traveled to a park in the South Bay area. First of all, both Elaine and I absolutely LOVE our critters. Riva is a beautiful 15 year old German Shepard. She's been ill lately and Elaine wanted to make sure she captured the best moments. Even though Riva was camera shy, we managed to get portraits that Elaine will forever Treasure! Thanks Riva & Elaine for a wonderful quiet session. I needed it! :)

Yesterday I met my co-worker Kerry and her adorable son and daughter in a beautiful secluded area in Rancho Palos Verdes. I was speechless! It was very easy to photograph the Ryerson family since they are very social and absolutely giggly. Kerry is such an amazing soul. She brightens a room like a coloring book. This past Friday I photographed the Sanchez Siblings. Their aunt Marcy who I've known since my college years is the proud aunt of these adorable sisters. Marcy is the sweetest person ever. She wanted to surprise her brother with some photo calendars and portraits of the girls, but due to one thing or another, she was forced to tell him what was going on! :( The good thing is that he will not know how adorable these pictures turned out until he opens his Christmas gift. My brother is like my dad! The father I never had. I am very proud of him. He was always my mothers right hand. He had to grow up so quickly and provide for my siblings and I. Ever since I can remember, he's worked hard for what he wanted. I am so proud of him! His life is his family and HOME! He is so proud of his new place. He's completely done a make-over and let me tell you, his home is BEAUTIFUL! I've been using the front yard in particular for photo sessions. They've turned out so beautiful b/c we have a bit of everything. I told my friend I'd post these pictures since she's having her family photo session this Sunday...I absolutely LOVE my brother!

This past weekend I photographed the Castellanos Siblings. Baby J was a whole 2 weeks old. He was super tiny. It's hard to believe that my pumpkin was once this small. But baby J was even tinier than expected b/c he was a month early. Mommy and Daddy were obviously surprised with the early arrival! Big brother R is super sweet with his baby brother. It is evident that they will both grow close together and bond and fight like siblings do! Mr. & Mrs. Castellanos, thank you for allowing me into your home. This past weekend I photographed my friend's newborn niece. She was a whole 5 days old, tiny, adorable, and just absolutely precious! Her big sis was not a happy camper. In fact, she was experiencing jealousy, but who can blame her?! She now has to share the love her parents have to offer. Big sis did NOT allow herself to be photographed near her baby sister. Sorry if I've over done it with my little girl, but I can't get enough of her. This picture was taken today while she was outside our home desperate to use these chalks that I had to hide from her (she has too many already). I sometimes wonder if I was the same way she currently is - Loud, stubborn, hilarious, and fun! Then I stop and think, this is currently me! Little Mia is so spur of the moment. She may be really happy now and upset the next minute. I can honestly say the hubby and I are experiencing the terrible 2's! Will things get better???

Today I photographed my eldest nieces children. My little niece and nephews were HILARIOUS! When one was slouched, the other was over doing it with the posture. Then we would finally get them all together, and their laugh attacks would begin....All three had my niece and I entertained. I LOVE THESE MUNCHKINS! They are absolutely adorable! So I know I'm a day early, but I'll be extremely busy on Saturday to post anything. I just wanted to take the time to wish all of you a wonderful and safe Halloween. Just hours ago I had the itch to shoot some pictures. So what did I do you may ask? I dressed my pumpkin in her Halloween costume. She was very excited and active after I dressed her. I was chasing her around trying to take pictures of her. In my opinion, the best ones are always the ones you don't pose for. Lucky for me, I was able to capture some unforgettable moments! I just can't believe how fast she's grown, but somethings for sure, she'll ALWAYS be my BABY!

Before I go on with my availability dates, I wanted to share this lovely picture of my niece Vanessa. It's just too cute to leave out! My daughter Mia absolutely loves her cousin. They are only one year apart, but you can't really tell when they're both interacting with each other. I took them to the Long Beach Pumpkin Patch last week. It was a girls day out! I was worn out after the two hours we spent there, but it was all well worth it! By the way, can you believe this is the first time I've ever attended a pumpkin patch? Weird huh, but honest truth! I love this vintage look! Something different :)

So as I've mentioned before, the Holidays are around the corner. In order to ensure your photo cards we must have your photo session completed no later than November 30th in order to give me ample time to enhance your images.

Mia's 2nd Birthday

i just can't believe my pumpkin turned 2! how time flies i tell you.... i still remember those 17 hrs. of labor...if i had to do it again, i would do it in a second...she's my everything! even though she has me on my toes, i love every second i get to spend with her...mia's b-day was special...i woke her up singing the "happy b-day" song, something my mom would always do for me...she was shy, but smiling that morning! the hubby and i decided to take her to "Sprinkles Cupcakes"...this was a great choice, not only b/c mommy and daddy love the cupcakes, but b/c she absolutely loves cakes! she truly enjoyed her cupcake! you could see the excitement in her eyes! my mother would have absolutely adored her at this stage in her life! God bless my lil' pumpkin!

Happy Labor Day Weekend | Missing My Mami

my "mami" & I on September 2006 happy friday everyone! well i hope that you all have a safe and joyous 3 day labor day weekend...today i feel like bloggin' a little about how i am feeling......i don't typically like doing this, but i feel like i need to express myself for my own good...

i have personally changed the way i see life and challenges over the last 2 years....not only b/c i became a mommy, but b/c of the unforeseen challenges and hurdles i have gone through in life...i lost my mother 15 months ago....it seem so long ago b/c i have not heard her voice, advice, felt her warmth, touch, hugs and kisses....God! how i miss her! for some reason, this week has been tough for me...my emotions have been a roller coaster....besides my allergies causing me to feel out of content, i just miss my mother more than ever...maybe for those of you that have lost your mother or child or just someone that truly impacted your life, understand me, but WOW!!! how it hurts!! today in particular i feel my pain a bit more intense....why? i don't really know, but i do know that my aching heart will never heal...i hope my daughter Mia will learn to love me as much as i loved my mother!

so i guess what i'm really trying to tell everyone is to love your mother, father, sister, brother, spouse, friend like you've never loved b4.....tell them this and no matter how angry you are at them, learn to forgive and forget....unconditional love is the best feeling anyone can experience! i know, b/c that is how i was taught to love.

my sister-in-law recently launched her mobile grooming business...she's not only great, efficient, and loving, she is also cost effective! she has been grooming my "girls" chiquis and twinkie for several months and they continue to look fabulous! the convenience of having a mobile groomer is that they come to you and the critters receive 1 to 1 attention! how much better can it get? don't forget to mention the friends & family discount ;)

My Photo Adventure at Yosemite National Park

hi there! it's been a while, but i'm getting back to my routine...so 1 1/2 weeks ago i traveled to the country side of Yosemite National Park...i was there for 4 days with a photo club and had a fabulous time!....i met amazing people that truly have the passion for photography and mother nature....i learned, hiked about 10 miles, and had the time of my life! we experienced beautiful clear skies (as you can tell by the pictures), rain, hail, thunderstorms, windy and sunny moments....we hiked to locations such as Bennetville, Dana Gardens, Mount Dana, Pothole Dome, Tuolumne Cascades, Saddlebag Lakes, and Mono Lake....the following are some of my faves... the picture above is the sunset at mono lake...
forgot the name to the wild flower, but it was beautiful...

i have been getting requests to do parties where the entire families or friends are all invited over...one family is the host...the host receives a complimentary session, earns a percentage of the sales from the party towards their print purchase...the host invites family and friends over (a minimum of four families) at pre-appointed times...sessions are at a discounted rate and only last about 20 minutes each...obviously, this time is negotiable when dealing with children...send feedback to miamorphotography@yahoo.com ...a $200 deposit will be required to hold the date!

Happy Birthday to My Hubby - I Love You

dearest followers....today is my hubby's (david's/dave's/honey) big day...i didn't wake him up to anything special as he would probably do, but i did hug him more than usual and reminded him that I LOVE him...we've been together since february of 2000...we married on november of 2003 and had our beautiful daughter mia in september of 2007....we love each other and sometimes can't stand each other...regardless of our ups and downs we love each other unconditionally.....we are best friends & each others inner voice....we have been there for each other when we both lost our parents in a matter of a 6 month span....all i have to say is thanks honey! you are truly a GREAT man, GREAT father, GREAT husband and have a heart that is priceless! i know you go through a lot to put up with me, but we truly compliment each other! i can't wait for us to have our second child in order to complete our family... wow! this weekend was a busy one....i had three amazing photo sessions and enjoyed every single minute of it....the following was a photo session of the Fortino ladies! to me they looked like sisters, but believe it or not they were mother and two daughters....the girls were absolutely well mannered and lovely! sandra, you can tell you and your hubby have done an amazing job with the ladies! i've taken the talk we had this saturday as great advice on my end...i will enjoy every single minute i have with my lil' one....the following are some of my faves..
